ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Katharine Clark brings an unusual background to the virtual classroom. She is a political strategist specializing in political messaging and swing district strategy. She has experience in the private, non-profit, and academic arenas.
 
It was Katharine who ran the 2018 campaign with the highest Democratic turnout in the state. Her undergraduate work with George Lakoff specifically examined the neuroscience of voting decisions and how it relates to ethical and moral psychology.
 
In her past advocacy work, Katharine has run successful campaigns to protect affordable housing, served as a Police Review Commissioner, and served as a union organizer. Katharine is a former Roosevelt Institution Policy Fellow, and a former Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee fellow, and graduated from Leadership Santa Fe in 2020.
 
Katharine has an MBA in Public Policy & Human Resources from the University of New Mexico and a dual BA in Cognitive Neuroscience & Interdisciplinary Studies in “Ethical/Moral Psychology” from UC Berkeley. She is a 2017 alumna of EMERGE NM, an organization dedicated to changing the face of power, politics, and leadership in order to have policies that are responsive to all Americans.
