When I put on my “2020 is Coming” button, it immediately connects me to the many dedicated and passionate people I have met since that horrible night in 2016 when the worst President in our history was elected to run our country. That button was created by Nob Hill Indivisible – one of many groups in Bernalillo County with a vision to take back our country through grassroots advocacy and activism. Nob Hill Indivisible – and other groups such as the Progressive Democrats of Albuquerque, the Adelante Caucus, Nasty Women, ABQ Eastside Dems, the Democratic Party of Bernalillo County (DPBC) and our own West Side Democrats of Bernalillo County – are leading the way in building an impressive coalition to get Democrats elected to local, state, and national seats in 2020.
Our work to get out the vote in 2020 is just beginning….and we need YOU to join us. On June 26, the West Side Democrats will host a social meet and greet with West Side ward and precinct chairs who will be sharing their plans and seeking suggestions on how to organize and gather volunteers. It will be a great opportunity to meet your leaders who will share their vision for 2020 and develop action plans on how to get there. The event will build on a Ward Conference held on June 1 sponsored by the DPBC that brought together county ward chairs to start collaborating and organizing.
We have the vision. Now we need the action. Please consider offering your talents to the West Side Democrats and/or your wards and precincts.
