Sue got started in politics at the tumultuous Democratic Party 1968 Convention, when she was a “(George) McGovern girl.” Fast forward to 2016 — she became active in WSD & the DPNM. She writes and provides grassroots organizing training for precinct/ward chairs. As a family member of the Veterans & Military Families Caucus of the DPNM, she enjoys interviewing NM veterans and sharing their stories in the VMFC newsletter.
She moved to Albuquerque 1978 and returned in 2012, when she retired. She was a professional journalist / technical writer, and worked at a nuclear cleanup site for more than 20 years. She has written several children’s stories and an unpublished novel, and tutors reading. She is married to Sam and has two grown children and two grandsons in Albuquerque.
