Dorothy Wilkinson has been a member of West Side Dems since 2016. She is a retired teacher from Gallup. For many years she called members to remind them of meetings. However in 2022 she stepped up, along with Cheryl Harris, to form an ad hoc committee of both Westside Dem members and Ward and Precinct chairs to campaign for Candidates for The New Mexico House of Representatives from the West Side. Democrats won all contests and West Side Dems was re- invigorated. After serving a year as Vice Chair, Dorothy became temporary Chair; then was elected Chair of WSD. This is her second term.
