WSD April Meet - 1

Our April 16 Meeting

NM Senate District 9 is important to all of us!

Our April 16th meeting will feature two candidates, Heather Balas and Cindy Nava, who are running in the June primary for the chance to replace Brenda McKenna, a Democrat, as Senator for New Mexico Senate District 9. This District is mostly in Sandoval County, but includes a portion of northwest Bernalillo County.

Most WSD members are not in SD 9, so why should we care?

Even if we can’t vote for these candidates, we can give time, energy, and money to the primary candidate of our choice. Then we can support the winner in November to make sure a Democrat holds that office. The person who wins that seat will vote on issues that affect each of us.

So come to our meeting on April 16 at 6:00 at Taylor Ranch Library to meet these women. You decide who you would like to see in the New Mexico Senate.

United By A Common Goal…

Social justice and human rights are more important than corporate profits. We seek to improve the quality of life for all of our residents through grass-roots support of candidates who listen and work to implement liberal programs and legislation.

Get Involved…

Your candidates can’t win without your help. Canvassing, phone banking, word-of-mouth, volunteering, and donating are all ways to work together to achieve our common goals.
